Singer songwriter Ed Sheeran is performing a charity gig for Bristo charity One25 at The Fleece while Elvis Costello is at Colston Hall.
Sheeran easily fills the UK's largest music venues with his legion of fans – but tonight he's playing one of Bristol's smaller venues.
The 21-year-old's concert schedule for the rest of the year includes the biggest festivals in the calendar as well as gigs at London's Hammersmith Apollo, Manchester Apollo, and a sold-out set at Hull Arena.
But tonight he and his diehard fans will squeeze themselves into the intimate surroundings of The Fleece.
Last week it was announced that Mr Sheeran was the most streamed artist of 2012, according to the Official Charts Company.
But the triple platinum-selling singer songwriter is stepping away from the larger venues to support Bristol charity One25 with his exclusive Fleece gig.
Tickets have been offered to anyone who raises 125 or more for the charity, which helps street sex workers.
One25 reaches out to vulnerable women trapped in street sex-work, supporting them to break free and build new lives away from violence, poverty and addiction.
Mr Sheeran's breakthrough single, The A Team, was inspired by a prostitute he met during a visit to a Crisis homeless shelter.
He said: "It's good to show insight that these people are real people with real emotions and they deserve the same charity work as anyone else."
Costello brings his Spectacular Spinning Songbook to the Colston Hall: audience members get to choose which tunes get played using a gigantic vaudevillian contraption.
