Unmetric Scores The Virality Of Brands? YouTube Campaigns

unmetric logoSocial benchmarking startup Unmetric just expanded its tools to include YouTube, giving brands a new way to measure the effectiveness of their video campaigns. Of course, companies can already see plenty of stats about their videos ? views, likes, and more. But Unmetric tries to synthesize all that data into a single score, and then shows how that score stacks up against competitors.

MMA referee knocks out corner man at regional fight show (VIDEO)

Why just have one fight at a local MMA promotion when you can watch the referee knock out a cornerman after the fight ends? Seriously. The referee/cornerman altercation gets heated at the one-minute mark.

There's a lot of wrong in that video, like the referee continuing to pursue the cornerman when the best referees across sports try to diffuse heated situations, the cornerman confronting the ref in the first place, and the poor cornerman falling like a tree.

Can you imagine referee Herb Dean knocking out a coach? Or Greg Jackson, the respected coach to UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones going after a ref? Exactly. If you find yourself cornering or reffing in an MMA bout, remember: W.W.G.J.D, or, what would Greg Jackson do?

Thanks, Bloody Elbow.

PSA: The end of MobileMe is nigh, time to move on or move out

PSA The end of MobileMe is nigh

The death knell for MobileMe has been ringing for some time, but if you've had your hands on your ears, hoping it'd go away, sadly this isn't the case. Tomorrow sees the service hang up its storage-boots for the last time, before being brutally put down released to pasture. If the 20GB olive branch Apple offered wasn't enough to turn you onto iCloud, then this is your last call to pack up your virtual things, and make sure the door doesn't hit you on the way out. And while breaking up is never easy to do, there are plenty more fish in the sea.
