The folks at Disney have recently shown interest in adapting their popular characters for the web, and a new web series is bring viewers more of the same formula. Phineas and Ferb's evil scientist, Dr. Doofenshmirtz, is the star of Doofenshmirtz's Daily Dirt, an animated offering that debuted early in the New Year. Doofenshmirtz's Daily Dirt features the titular villain offering his take on various aspects of Internet culture. In the first episode, he dishes out his thoughts on Internet acronyms in a vaguely Strong Bad-ish manner, even coming up with some of his own. New episodes will be available weekly, though Wired has managed to post the next two, giving us a better idea of the general tone of the series. Doofenshmirtz's Daily Dirt works with a simple premise: what would happen if a singularly literal-minded person encountered sarcastic and silly internet culture? It's not particularly complex stuff, but the series' one joke can be endlessly renewed; this one could go on for ages with simple-minded, kid-friendly episodes
